We help people maximize their recovery and wellness.

Our specialized treatment centre includes everything you need for the best treatment possible. We cover a wide range of services but specialize in neuro-physiotherapy and major chronic and traumatic pain.

  • Physiotherapy is used to treat, manage and prevent musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurological injures. Physiotherapy techniques are used to reduce pain, improve mobility, promote healing following injury, and increase function in the affected areas.

The physiotherapist will take your medical history, assess your current condition, and then recommend appropriate treatment.

  • Neuro-physiotherapy is a specialized discipline of physiotherapy used to treat individuals who have suffered an injury or disease affecting their central or peripheral nervous system.

Neurophysiotherapy focuses on improving the neuromuscular control, mobility, coordination, balance, weakness, and postural changes resulting from these conditions.

Our physiotherapists are certified in NDT and PNF techniques, and are very experienced in treating neurological disorders, including traumatic brain injury, concussion, stroke, peripheral nerve injury and more.

  • Depending on your condition, the physiotherapist will create and assist in implementing an individualized active exercise program. This may include cardiovascular training, weight training, stretches and resistance exercises. The physiotherapist may also administer manual therapy, including mobilization techniques and/or stretches.

  • Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy, or Vestibular Therapy, is a form of Physiotherapy intended to improve balance and reduce dizziness-related impairments.

Some conditions that can be treated with vestibular therapy include Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BBPV), vestibular loss or hypofunction, and cervicogenic dizziness.

A vestibular assessment will be performed to determine the possible cause of your symptoms, and based on the assessment an individualized exercise program will be created to help alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life.

  • Aquatic Physiotherapy uses the unique properties of water to carry out therapeutic exercises. The gravity-limited environment creates less pressure on a person’s joints and facilitates easier movement in comparison to land-based therapy. In addition, when aquatic physiotherapy is implemented in a therapeutic pool, the warm water is beneficial in managing chronic pain.

Sessions take place at a local community centre (implemented one-on-one by one of our physiotherapists or a trained aquatic therapist) and as a part of a community reintegration initiative.

  • Balance and gait training focuses on decreasing your risk for falls, and improving your mobility, posture, gait pattern, and static, and dynamic balance.

Orthopaedic and neurological impairments, such as stroke, fracture or brain injury, may contribute to difficulties with walking, balance and gait instability, and an ataxic or altered gait pattern.

If appropriate, the physiotherapist will perform an assessment and develop an individualized balance and gait training program.

  • Manual therapy, which includes joint mobilization, is a hands-on mobilization technique for the joints and muscles. It helps to improve range of motion, quality of movement, increase joint function and reduce pain and stiffness.

  • Physiotherapy treatment may involve modalities such as interferential current therapy (IFC), therapeutic ultrasound, TENS/EMS machines, laser and thermotherapy equipment.

These modalities are beneficial in improving blood flow, reducing and managing pain, promoting tissue healing, and reducing inflammation and edema.

  • Therapeutic Massage is a form of therapy that aims to reduce muscle tension, promote lymphatic drainage, improve blood flow, manage chronic pain symptoms, and reduce physical and emotional stress.

Different types of therapeutic massage treatment offered are deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, manual lymph drainage, myofascial release therapy, prenatal/postnatal massage, pregnancy massage, trigger point release therapy, myofascial release therapy, and active release technique.
